Page Resource Filtering (Clip, Track, or Compositio n)
In addition to page-level filtering, an Include/Exclude filter list can be provided at the clip, track, and/or composition levels. Settings at each level apply to all Pages (or all levels) below, including clip and page, and are trumped by settings at any higher level. For example, composition filters override track filters, and track filters override clip filters while clip filters override only page filters. |
Page Resource Filtering at the Clip LevelAs with other Page Resource Settings, filters at each level apply to all pages (or all levels) below, and are trumped by settings at any higher level. However, filters can “add to” as well as replace filters at lower levels. For example, composition filters add to or replace track filters, and track filters add to or replace clip filters, while clip filters add to or replace only page filters. With the Clip Editor > Properties > Page Resource Settings node selected, the Page Resource Filtering appears in the pane on the right. |
Whenever an Include/Exclude list is provided at a level above the page(s), then the filter list will specify whether to:
If Add to Page(s) Filtering is selected, this higher-level filter list will be applied before any such list in the individual Pages, then any such list in the individual Pages will be applied. It is not an “override” in this case, but rather a global filter that is to be applied to all Pages in addition to any other filtering the individual Pages themselves might be doing.
If Replace Page(s) Filtering is selected, this higher-level filter list will be applied instead of any such list in the individual Pages. In this case it is an “override”, and any filtering specified in the individual Pages will be ignored. |

Page Resource Filtering at the Track or Composition LevelUse the Resources to Include or Exclude checkbox on the right of the Page Resource Settings tab to define resource includes and excludes via regular expression or glob. Both Regex and Glob can be set to include or exclude by the criteria defined. These excludes and includes will apply to both statically retrieved and dynamically retrieved resources, so they can be used as a quick filtering mechanism. |
Note that the Composition node has more tabs so Page Resource Settings are further to the right in that node. |
