Custom Properties

Custom properties can be set at the collection, clip, track, and composition level.

 

 

Setting Composition Custom Properties

 

  1. First, click the Properties tab to display the Property Type tree.
  2. In the Property Type list, click the Composition node, and then click the Custom Properties tab on the far right.
  3. Click the green plus (+) sign to add and define the property and its value (as shown on the right).

These properties only apply to the currently open test composition.

 

 

Setting Track Custom Properties

 

  1. First, click the Properties tab to display the Property Type tree.
  2. In the Property Type list, click the Track node, and then click the Custom Properties tab on the far right.
  3. Click the green plus (+) sign to add and define the property and its value (as shown on the right).
  4. In the Value type drop-down, accept the Constant value, or if you will be using seed data at this level, choose one of the seed data settings. Refer to Creating and Editing Seed Data for more about using seed data at this level.

 

 

Setting Clip Custom Properties

 

Clip Custom Properties are set in the Clip Editor via the Properties tab > Clip Custom Properties node.

  1. First, click the Properties tab to display the Clip Properties tree.
  2. In the Properties list, click the Clip Custom Properties node.
  3. Click the plus (+) sign to add and define the property and its value as shown on the right. As shown on the right, the clipProp1 is added. Change the property name to the desired name.
  4. In the Value type drop-down, accept the Constant value, or if you will be using Seed Data at this level, choose one of the seed data settings. Refer to Creating and Editing Seed Data for more about using seed data at this level.

 

 

Setting Collection Custom Properties

 

Collection Custom Properties are set in the Clip Editor via the <Selected> > Custom Properties tab.

 

For pages, this tab appears to the right of the Resource Settings tab. For all other collections, this tab appears to the right of the General and Repeat tabs. 

 

  1. Click the plus (+) sign to add and define the property and its value as shown on the right. 
  2. As shown on the right, the clipProp1 is added. Change the property name to the desired name.
  3. In the Value type drop-down, accept the Constant value, or if you will be using Seed Data, choose one of the seed data settings. Refer to Creating and Editing Seed Data for more about using seed data at this level.
