Checkpoint

A checkpoint is a test clip element that indicates that no further action take place until a response has been received from the prior message. A checkpoint may be an essential component whenever the prior action requires some sort of response and can be used in conjunction with response validation.

 

Create a New Checkpoint

  1. Open a new or existing clip in the Test Clip Editor.
 
  1. In a new clip, add and then select a message that will require a checkpoint. This can be done from the Included Targets > Operations list below or by clicking Add New Message to add a blank message (non-Target specific).

    In an existing clip, select the message that will require a checkpoint.
  1. With your message selected, locate the Checkpoint icon on the right of the Clip Editor toolbar.

  1. Click Add New Checkpoint from the Test Clip Editor toolbar. The checkpoint is added after the selection.
  1. Click Save to accept your changes.
